Jesus Christ is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything He might be preeminent.
— Colossians 1:18 (ESV)

We are located in the beautiful redwoods of the Santa Cruz mountains, in the small town of Felton, one mile north of downtown on Highway 9.

Originally founded as the "First Baptist Church of San Lorenzo Valley" in the 1960s, Trinity Bible Church exists to exalt the majesty of the Triune God, proclaim the excellencies of His living Word, revel in the rich fellowship of the community of His redeemed people, and promote the Gospel and the love of Jesus Christ to the world.

The thing about our church is this; these people seriously love God like nothing else. They love His Word, they love each other, and they love to pour out all that they have, and all that they are, to bless and serve others and show them the kind of self-sacrificing love with which God has loved them.

Not just growing in numbers (we really don't care about numbers) ; most importantly, we are continually growing together in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. God Himself, who has created New Life in the souls of His people, is the one who causes and sustains that growth by the power of His Word and Spirit. As He transforms us by the renewing of our minds and continually conforms us to the image of His Son, the result is a community of rich unity, warm love, urgent care and compassion, passionate worship and devoted service to each other, our local community, and God's Kingdom.

Those phrases hang together at the heart of true Christian life and holiness. There is no greater priority in all the universe than the glorification of the one, true, Triune God - the manifestation, magnification and exaltation of all of God's attributes and perfections. In the life of God's people, God is no more exalted than when we are totally dependent on Him. When we come with empty hands confessing, "We have nothing, but you have everything", we glorify Him as the Almighty, gracious and faithful God whom He is. When we forsake ourselves and surrender to Him in full reliance on His authority, strength, and love, we not only exalt Him, we realize the true liberty and joy that He has created us to walk in.

This God-Exalting Christ-Dependency is forged by God through regularly feasting together on the true food of His Word and drinking deeply from the living waters of His eternal promises. It is a life that is formed through constant prayer, reverent worship, and rich fellowship. We invite you to join us as we celebrate this life and revel together in its fullness!
